Reasons For The Nintendo Wii Shortage

The Nintendo Wii shortage is still around after several months since the gaming console has been released to the general public. The Nintendo Wii shortage is actually due to the popularity of the gaming console that allows gamers to download games via the internet using the console itself. The games available for the Nintendo Wii are also so much fun that members of the family, of all ages, can absolutely enjoy their favorite game on it.

Other Factors For Nintendo Wii Shortage

There are actually other factors that fuel the Nintendo Wii shortage. These factors include the manufacturer’s ability to finish the gaming consoles and resellers. The manufacture of the Nintendo Wii is actually not such a big factor in the Nintendo Wii shortage because the manufacture and processing of the gaming console is regulated by the company and they can project the number of consoles produced for a week and amply supply the need.

The resellers are the biggest problems concerning the Nintendo Wii shortage. This is because many enterprising people have caught on to buying the Nintendo Wii by bulk and then hoarding tem to create a fake Nintendo Wii shortage. This fake shortage increases the demand for the gaming console thus also driving the prices up compared to the suggested retail price from the manufacturer. Resellers have even gone to such extents as to stake out Nintendo Wii deliveries from the shipping company to the retail stores. This ensures that they get to the product before any other consumers do.

The Nintendo Wii shortage is still felt up to now although not as strongly as before. Many consumers are complaining that they paid for their Nintendo Wii at a higher price than it is supposed to be. Others may also have some problems with the warranty because their Wii did not come from an authorized retail outlet. This can actually be avoided by buying the Wii at authorized retail outlets only and not from resellers.

The fact that resellers are manipulating the demand for the Nintendo Wii is underhand. The Nintendo Wii shortage can actually be stopped by controlling the sales for each person but since this will be difficult to do then there is nothing we can do about the Nintendo Wii shortage but to bear it and grin. Since the Nintendo Wii is classified as a luxury and not a need, you do not actually have to fork more than the suggested retail price by buying from the resellers who raise the price.

Some stores are actually accepting reservations for the gaming consoles to thwart the resellers from creating and artificial Nintendo Wii shortage and to help accommodate consumers who wish to buy the product at the fair price.
